Everyone wants to be successful. Everyone wants to be great at something. Most people sit around thinking about how wonderful life could be if they were stronger, faster, or better than they are now. However, that’s where it usually stops for them.

Everyone wishes. Everyone daydreams. However, I have on simple question for all the dreamers.

Are you sore today?

It’s a simple enough question. Being sore means you went out and prepared to be great. Being sore means you went beyond wishing and started working. Being sore means that you had a dream that you wanted badly enough to actually take action on making it come true.

Sidebar 1Here’s the harsh reality – everyone has a dream, but very few people want to succeed enough to sacrifice to make that dream become a reality. To paraphrase eight time bodybuilding champion Ronnie Coleman – “Everybody wants to be a bodybuilder, but nobody wants to lift the heavy weights.”

Success takes training and hard work. It takes lifting the heavy weights. It takes getting out and doing the drills and spending the time with the ball. It takes doing more than just showing up.Sidebar 2

This training is never easy. It isn’t always fun. You’ll wake up some days with absolutely no drive to work hard, and to be successful, you’ll have to do the work anyway. In the end, it will be worth it, but only if you do the work.

Every time you catch yourself dreaming, ask yourself – “Am I sore today? Did I do something difficult and suffer the pain so that I can achieve my goal?” If you’re dreaming but not sore, then all your goal is is a dream.

Take action. Do the work. Get sore.

Sore Today

Strong Tomorrow
