Every soccer player should have the ability to control the ball while dribbling at high speeds. Often in a game, you’ll need to be able to take the ball from your top speed and cut it very quickly while maintaining control.

This soccer drill will help you develop high speed dribbling skills and tight control while cutting the ball. To do this drill, you’ll need 3 cones. Set two cones up about 30 yards from the endline, and 1 cone about 15 yards from the touchline, making a “V” shape with your cones.

Start at the end line with the ball and sprint down to the first cone. Cut the ball around the cone with the outside of your foot. Sprint to the second cone and cut the ball around it with the inside of your right foot. Sprint to the third cone and cut the ball around it with the outside of your right foot. Come back around the second cone with the outside of your right foot, and around the first cone with the inside of your right foot. Finally, sprint past the end line with the ball.
