  • Soccer Ball
  • 3 Cones

Setup

  • Set up 3 cones 5 yards apart
  • Break players into groups of 3

Drill Instructions

  • Players break up into teams of 3.
  • Set up 3 Cones 5 Yards apart.
  • Players on the ends are another 5 yards out.
  • Player starts at the middle cone and sprints to the first outside cone, where receive a pass and play the ball back to their teammate.
  • They immediately turn around and sprint to the other cone, where they receive and return a pass to their other teammate.
  • Play either for time (30 seconds to a minute, then switch) or for number of passes (10 passes then switch).

Drill Variations

  • Alternate strong foot, then weak foot passes
  • One touch passes only

Coaching Suggestions

  • This is a chance to work on your conditioning, so push hard for the full time
  • Really accelerate out of your turns to work on agiliy
  • Return the passes quickly, but not so quickly that you’re out of control. Dial back speed if you need to to maintain control
