Setup
- Set up 3 cones 5 yards apart
- Break players into groups of 3
Drill Instructions
- Players break up into teams of 3.
- Set up 3 Cones 5 Yards apart.
- Players on the ends are another 5 yards out.
- Player starts at the middle cone and sprints to the first outside cone, where receive a pass and play the ball back to their teammate.
- They immediately turn around and sprint to the other cone, where they receive and return a pass to their other teammate.
- Play either for time (30 seconds to a minute, then switch) or for number of passes (10 passes then switch).
Drill Variations
- Alternate strong foot, then weak foot passes
- One touch passes only
Coaching Suggestions
- This is a chance to work on your conditioning, so push hard for the full time
- Really accelerate out of your turns to work on agiliy
- Return the passes quickly, but not so quickly that you’re out of control. Dial back speed if you need to to maintain control
