This week’s soccer drill tutorial is a drill that I’ve talked about before and you’ve seen it a ton in my soccer workout videos, but I thought it was important enough to give it its own standalone tutorial.

Tick Tocks is a great soccer drill you can do to develop your ball control quickly. It gets you a lot of touches on the ball in a short amount of time and a small amount of space, but more importantly, it teaches your feet to naturally keep the ball tight to your body.

To do tick tocks, start with your feet shoulder width apart. With one foot, push the ball across your body, then push it back with your other foot. Continue pushing the ball back and forth across your body with your feet. One rep is pushing the ball back and forth with each foot.

Start off slow, then as you develop your skills, speed up. Try to go as fast as you can. If you ever reach the point where you’re out of control, dial it back just a little bit to the point where you have the ball under control, then try to go a little faster from there.
