This week’s soccer workout is another variation on sole rolls (see previous workouts here and here).

The great thing about sole rolls as an individual soccer drill is that they can be done in a small space and they do a lot for your ball control. They help you get a lot of touches on the ball in a small space. They help you develop confidence in manipulating the ball with the soles of your feet, and they help you practice keeping the ball close to your body as you dribble.

This workout consists of the following –

    • Cross body sole rolls with an inside stop – 10/foot
In and out sole rolls – 10/right foot
In and out sole rolls – 10/left foot
Cross body inside rolls – No stop – 10/foot
  • Repeat x 5

This workout will force you to practice your touch with both your strong and your weak foot. It will get you over 400 touches on the ball in a short amount of time.

This workout is an excerpt from my “Fieldless Workout Guide.” This guide contains this exercise and 11 others designed to give you a workout you can do in a basement, a living room, or anywhere you can find an 8 foot by 8 foot space. Never miss practicing because of bad weather again! If you’d like to find out more, click here or click the image below!
